Congratulations Jonathan Moore and English Swaggin’!
It was one of those difficult years, when we had a lot of great contenders and several potential winners. The twelve finalists are a diverse group, and their videos were amazing. The judges had to pick from a very deserving group – it was not an easy job, and we thank them for their work. When all was said and done, the judges and the viewers picked the same winner. English Swaggin’ is funny and fun to watch, and maybe fun to make as well. We look forward to hearing a lot more from Jon as he studies at Edge Hill University in the UK!
Anna’s Journey tells the story of Anna Sycz as she prepares to go from Cracow, Poland, a city of myths and legends, to Boston, Massachusetts, in the US. Her video ends very impressively! Congratulations Anna!
Vid Rajin’s “Cave Animator” is perhaps the most professional entry, as his skill as an animator puts his video in a class by itself. It tells of his life in his cave, and his need to explore beyond his cave, at animation school in Los Angeles. We expect to hear more about Vid’s animations in coming years - congratulations Vid!
In “Defying Gravity”, Ana Gabriela Toree Gomez, an aspiring actress in Mexico, will not give up on her dreams of the stage. She is finally ready risk it all to pursue her love of theater full-time, and is going to London to do so – congratulations Ana!
Finally, congratulations to all of the other deserving finalists. Will Leonard’s “Architectural Mecca”, “Under One Sky” by Jonhwon Lim, “Here We Go Florence” by Nathan Alexander Bunch, Simon Mesa Soto’s “Leaving Medellin”, “The World” by Mi Jin Jung, “New York City Here I Come” by Tiffany Huang, “From Plovdiv to Paris” by Teodora Koleva and “Dream Zealand” by Jennelyn Castillejo – all were excellent in their own way.
